When a transaction goes ahead (sale, rental), some documents are kept for as long as the law requires, notably for accounting and, where applicable, anti-money-laundering purposes, and for that reason only.
On what grounds?
- Steps you ask us to take: replying, viewings, valuation, listing agreement.
- Your explicit agreement: contact with the other party, marketing offers, audience measurement. You can take it back whenever you wish.
- The agency's legitimate interest: site security, fighting abuse, overall statistics.
- The law, when it requires us to keep or disclose information.
Who is your data shared with?
- Adriana and the agency team, to work on your file.
- JARVIS, the internal request-tracking tool of THERD SRL. It receives the content of requests (contact details, criteria, message, follow-up stage) and helps the team draft replies. It sends nothing by itself: every message goes out from WhatsApp, checked and sent by Adriana.
- The other party to the transaction (owner, buyer or tenant): only with your agreement, and only what they need.
- The lawyers and notaries of a transaction you decide to go ahead with.
- Hostinger International Ltd., which hosts the site.
- WhatsApp (Meta), for messages, under its own rules.
- Google and Meta, if you switch on audience measurement: they see how you browse the site, but not your contact details or messages.
- The authorities, if a legal obligation compels us.
Your data is never sold or rented to anyone.
Photos attached by owners
They are kept in a private area of the site with no public address, and only the agency team can open them. They are used to prepare the visit. The photos shown on the listing are chosen or taken with the owner and published only with their agreement.
Security
The whole site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The admin area is restricted to the team and requires two-factor authentication. There is no such thing as zero risk, so these measures are reviewed periodically.
Where is your data stored?
With Hostinger International Ltd. Since its servers may be located outside the Dominican Republic, your data may be processed there. WhatsApp messages pass through Meta's infrastructure.
Your rights
Whenever you wish, you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you;
- correct it;
- erase it;
- stop a particular use, especially marketing messages;
- withdraw a consent (what was done before remains valid).
In the Dominican Republic, these rights are recognized in particular by Law 172-13 on personal data protection. Send your request through the "my data" form. Before answering, we check that the request really comes from you, for example by writing to the WhatsApp number from the original request. If the law obliges us to keep some information, we tell you what it is and why.
If you live in the European Union
We apply the core GDPR rules: collecting only what is useful, announcing uses in advance, fixed retention periods, data protection, and answering your requests within one month (extendable for complex requests). This is not a certification. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can turn to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
Cookies and audience measurement
- Always on: a session cookie and a cookie that stops forged form submissions; the site cannot work without them.
- Only if you switch them on: audience and campaign measurement tools (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta pixel), once the agency has set them up. They stay off until you accept them in the banner (Google consent mode: nothing is measured before you agree).
- Your choice is kept in your browser (local storage "rd_consent", no cookie); refusing deletes any measurement cookies already set.
- Page addresses: before loading those tools, the site removes private information from the address (request reference, phone, email); on forms and confirmation pages only the campaign origin (utm) is kept.
- Never sent to those tools: your contact details or the content of your requests.
- To change your mind: the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, or clear the site's data in your browser.
